Matthew 1:18-21 – We see here that Jesus is the Son of God, given to us as a savior. Jesus is the Greek version of Joshua, which means “the Lord saves.”
Some of the toughest people are Christians because of the abuse they must face.
People often say that Jesus is a crutch for believers. But, if you have broken legs, you do need crutches. If you are a sinner, you really need Jesus.
Luke 1:30-33 – Mary was told of the child she was carrying, and of his kingdom that will have no end.
Luke 2:8-11 – The shepherds were told of the One who was coming, Jesus, who is Christ, the Lord.
Ephesians 1:4-8 – The love of God has been given freely through Jesus Christ. It is available to all who accept it, but to no one else. It is only those who believe will receive the forgiveness of their sins, making them holy before God and opening the door to heaven.
Ephesians 2:8-9 – Jesus was a gift from God to us, a perfect example of Christmas. Even when we don’t feel like we are worthy, or are incapable of achieving heaven, we can rest on the fact that our salvation is a gift.
Romans 10:9-13 – Declaring with your mouth and believing in your heart brings justification, and you will never be put to shame. And whoever it is that calls on the Lord will be saved. You will receive Jesus, and you’ll receive the Holy Spirit.
Sin basically boils down to putting something in front of God. Whether it’s money, popularity, or your own desires, it is all idolatry. Regardless of your sin, Jesus can save you. So, let us worship the Lord over all other things.
