I do believe that there are less people roaming the streets of Trinidad which is good to halt the spread of what President Trump calls the Chinese flu. Someone suggested that we lockdown the news media for thirty days. That would really go a long ways towards fixing some of the Corona problem for sure.
We need to remind ourselves that even though we are in the world we are not of the world. All in the world around us is “physical” but the world or “kingdom” that we are eternal citizens of, is God’s “spiritual” kingdom. While we are temporarily here in the physical realm we are always and ever will be in the spiritual realm. The things (existences) of this world will and are passing away and will soon be gone. Spiritual things (existences) will continue forever and this is what should most concern us.
No matter what takes place here on earth (the physical) we as followers of Christ have no need to buy into the fear and hype. We have a home eternal in the heavens (spiritual) and a guide to take us through this physical world until we reach that spiritual one. Never fear JC (Jesus Christ) is here. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved we have a building of God not made with hands eternal in the heavens (spiritual), II Corinthians 5:1, parenthesis authors. I will never leave you nor forsake you, Hebrews 13:5b.
God is well able to take us through whatever is thrown our way so instead of worrying and succumbing to fear PRAY like we are supposed to do. See Philippians 4:6.
With power and love, Pastor Cary

We have another day to serve the Lord and make others thirsty for Him! I am assuming that God still has a purpose for us to be here… since we are still here, and we all know what that purpose is. The sooner we finish the job the sooner we can get out of here.
I see the governor closed essential businesses yesterday. We will see how that plays out and what “the establishment” deems as essential. Likely to NOT include a few that I feel are. I, of course, feel that the spiritual welfare of our people, and more personally, our local congregation, is essential to the well being of the U. S. especially when I consider that our nation was founded at least partly for religious purposes and freedom. Alright churches, we are not closing for business, which is the spiritual, mental/emotional, and physical welfare of our people!
I just read these verses a bit ago and they appear to be relevant for our current situation. Put your name in the place of mine when you read these verses: Cary must not allow his heart to be troubled, Cary believes in God. Cary must also believe in Me, John 14:1. Whatsoever Cary will ask IN MY NAME, that will I do that the Father may be glorified in the Son, If Cary will ask anything IN MY NAME I will do it, John 14:13,14, caps mine. If we are living in the name of Jesus our prayers are powerful. We need to assure that our prayers will bring glory and honor to our Heavenly Father. This means we always need to turn to the Word, find what it has to say on the subject, (find at least two or three places that say the same thing) and pray in line with what the Word says, then we pray according to the will of God EVERY time.
I continue to pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to rest upon each of us and cause us to have courage and boldness in the faith of the Lord Jesus. Keep the faith and love one another as He has loved us! The coming of the lord draws near. PTL
Catch everyone later. Remain in the Fathers love. Wow, I marvel at how much our world has changed in the last couple of weeks. Who would have dreamed? Given those changes here is pertinent information you need to know.
We here at FCC are attempting to follow the directives of our elected officials while continuing to provide for the spiritual needs of each and every one of you. In light of the new mandates, we will not be open for regular services and have temporarily suspended Sunday School, children’s services and Wednesday evening services. If you show up at the church Sunday you will of course still be welcomed. Our worship team and myself will be present for broadcasting the service over the radio KCRT 1240am from 11am till noon and on audio livestream which you can find available at fcctrinidad.com. Please join our worship and Word from one of these sources. Offerings can be mailed to FCC, 200 S. Walnut St., Trinidad CO 81082 or call the church and you can drop them off here when I am here which is usually sometime every afternoon, but call first to ensure that I am here. We thank you all so much for your understanding. We are also advising everyone to follow the CDC guidelines, as well as those of our president, governor and the Colorado Dept. of Health.
I was thinking of Solomon’s prayer when Israel was dedicating the new temple – here is part of it: If there is in the land famine, or pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, or caterpillar… or whatever plague or sickness there is, what prayer and supplication soever is made by any one or by all Your people Israel which every one knows the plague (punishment), in their own heart, and spreads forth their hands toward this house: then You hear in heaven Your dwelling place and forgive, and do, and give to everyone according to their ways whose heart You know… I Kings 8: 37-39.
It really seems that we should be on our knees in prayer coupled with fasting. What a novel idea: prayer and fasting! I would ask that you consider fasting a meal or two once a week or so and spend that time in prayer. God has promised us if we seek his face, turn from our wicked ways etc., that He would heal our land, II Chronicles 7:14.
You will also see on our website that Dave Shaver has set up a place for us to share needs. This is designed so that any of us can post a need on the site, be viewed by others and somewhere along the line one of us will be able to meet that need. We really do want to take care of each other especially in this trying time.
I was asked recently what to do if someone came to your house asking for food, or apparently even more important – TOILET TISSUE. I suggest we do what Jesus would do and share some of what we have. We serve a God who is more than enough El Shaddai, and Jesus who multiplies food. It is a Biblical principle that if we “plant seed” we will reap a harvest. Keep in close contact with the Holy Spirit and he will tell you what to do!
Be assured that this time too will pass. Our world will have changed, but our parents and grandparents, and for some great grandparents, lived through WWI and WWII which forever changed their world and they emerged even stronger than before. I believe that we can do the same. God is on the throne, we are closer now to Christ’s return than we were two weeks ago, and our God is faithful to care for us.
God Bless You and Know that You are Loved by God and Myself!

Stand fast in the Faith! - Pastor Cary
