The Year of Jubilee
The year of Jubilee: every 50 years
Act 10:38 - how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
Past tense. Our salvation was planned before the founding of the world.
Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Jesus did good while He was here on the Earth. He fed the 5,000. If He is the same always, He will still heal, serve, provide, love, etc.
Isaiah 61:1 - The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
In the Year of Jubilee, all debts were canceled, all prisoners set free, all property returned, etc. The Year of Jubilee was an example of the forgiveness of sin. All the punishments and wages are canceled… ready for our lives in heaven.
We should have the most peace, the most strength, the most joy compared to the people of the world. We should not let anything steal my joy. We are living under the Year of Jubilee.
God has given us the authority to do all the things that Jesus did. But, we must perform the action. We must go forth and do what God told us to do.
Let us go out there and reclaim the land. Let us usher our nation into God’s hand once again.
Luke 4:18
Isaiah 42:1-8 - Elect One in whom My soul delights!
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles.
He will not cry out, nor raise His voice,
Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.
A bruised reed He will not break,
And smoking flax He will not quench;
He will bring forth justice for truth.
He will not fail nor be discouraged,
Till He has established justice in the earth;
And the coastlands shall wait for His law.”
Thus says God the LORD,
Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it,
Who gives breath to the people on it,
And spirit to those who walk on it:
“I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness,
And will hold Your hand;
I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the Gentiles,
To open blind eyes,
To bring out prisoners from the prison,
Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.
I am the LORD, that is My name;
And My glory I will not give to another,
Nor My praise to carved images.
God will not put out our candle. We are to put it on a lamp stand and let the world see it.
Let us accept the spirit of healing. Healing can be anything… physical, emotional, financial.
Matthew 4:17,23 - From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” - And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people
God wants to give back what we lost to sin.
Galatians 3:12 - Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
We’ve been releases from sin, poverty, death, sickness, etc. Our spirits will go live with Jesus and we’ll have a new body.
Matthew 8:2-3,5 - And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”
Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Matthew 8:5-13 - Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”
And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.
Jesus paid the debt that we could never pay so that we may reap the joys of the Year of Jubilee.
Jubilee.
