Engaging with Those in Need
Here at First Christian Church we seek to serve those in our community. 10% of the tithes that come in are spent serving those in our community, and sometimes across the country. Whether it's helping someone pay for their electric bill, or sending crews to areas impacted by natural disaster, we know that God will move and bless others through us. We have seen His mighty hand move again and again.

Hurricane Helene

Following the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene, our church family was moved to make a difference. It was decided to send two groups to offer assistance and supplies to the people in North Carolina. Our teams met up with Baptist On Mission and coordinated with them to help a number of families with their clean-up efforts. Though rocked by damage and loss, these families were happy and blessed to have complete strangers assist with restoring their homes back to habitable conditions.
Learning many lessons from these trips, we now have an emergency planning team to help us be more prepared for possible future disasters both locally and across the nation.
