Faith & God's Will

We can enter the presence of God on the full assurance of faith… because we believe.

Jesus is seated on the right hand of God. Would God cast Him out? No! When we receive Jesus as our savior, we are baptized into Christ (placed within Him), so we won’t be cast out.

We are forgiven. We can go there and act like we belong there.

We have a conscience of sin within us because we’ve lived with it so long… but spiritually we are free of sin because of Jesus.

Jesus gets us into the presence of God.

Once we believe, we are “Christians,” or “Christ ones.”

John 14:13 - And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

God will do His will… but not anything outside His will, so let’s only ask for things in God’s will. If you want to know God’s will, look for it in His Word. Then, call on the Name of Jesus and agree with what God has already said.

We (mankind) was commanded to take dominion of all the earth.

Why do we have to pray? Why doesn’t his will just get accomplished? We have free will and God waits for permission to do things on the earth. If we were to take dominion over the earth, why wouldn’t he let us make it what we wish… but He has a better plan.

Let’s agree with God so that His will can be worked out on the earth.

There’s nothing in your life that can’t find an answer in God’s Word. We don’t always get the answer there because God can use anything to point us in the right direction. The question is, are we looking?

John 16:23,24 - “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. “These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.

Let us pray the will of God. We find His will in the Word.

What about specifics? When you have a specific choice, the Bible may not speak directly to the exact choice. It’s at those times when you can seek God’s voice. He can speak to you and give you guidance. Sometimes it’s someone else.

Get with God and listen. Regardless of the decision, go to the Bible. He can speak to you.

Psalm 138:2,3 - I will worship toward Your holy temple,

And praise Your name

For Your lovingkindness and Your truth;

For You have magnified Your word above all Your name.

In the day when I cried out, You answered me,

And made me bold with strength in my soul.

Jeremiah 1:12 - Then the LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”

Pray in accordance to God’s will. He will work to make sure His will comes to pass in our lives.

1 Peter 1:25 - But the word of the LORD endures forever.”

Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.

God’s will will come to pass, even after we die, because we had faith that His Word would come to pass.

Don’t give up. He has promised that His Word will come to pass, so pray in faith believing that He does not fail in His promises.

Need faith? Get in the Word!

Hebrews 11:3 - By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

God spoke it an it happened. It was through His faith.

We can’t see into the spiritual world, but it exists.

Let’s speak the Word and believe it. When we believe it and speak it, we can see the results of our prayers. Let’s do it the same way God did it.

Luke 17:6 - So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

You don’t need much faith… just use what you have and you’ll see results.
