Focus
You are still here for a purpose: to bring honor and glory to the Father. Everything else rolls into that.
The physical world is passing away. 1 John 2 says the one who does the will of the Father abides forever—and Jesus said that will is to believe on the One the Father sent. Colossians 3 says set your affection on things above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God. Enjoy what God has given you here. Just do not let physical things have you.
Hebrews 12 says run the race looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of faith. He is the finish line. No car, no acres, no corner at Big R will get you across it. When you die you leave behind all you have and take with you all you are. Where your treasure is, that is where you will most want to be—and end up being.
How do you keep your eyes there? Stop being fed by the world. Stay in the Word. Pray without ceasing. Assemble together more as you see the day drawing near. Be being filled with the Spirit. Ask yourself, regularly: what am I treasuring today—spiritual, or physical? You are still breathing. There is still time to adjust.
